HEALING THROUGH ART

THANK YOU Homa, my dear new friend, for providing such a perfectly safe, nurturing space (literal & energetic) for me to be the student, to receive the message and to try something new and previously intimidating….and to fall in love with it!!! I’m SO looking forward to painting more.

A few weeks ago, I was given the ultimate gift of painting with Homa. It’s truly taken me this time to put the experience into the words I still don’t have. Her 2 day Inner Goddess retreat changed me something fierce. I’ve never really thought I could paint, ESPECIALLY not people or faces, but I walked out of her beautiful studio knowing that I can, and will now be doing so as much as possible. I’ve know Homa for years and hearing about her transformation, her experience, and her art is both inspiring and uplifting. I was desperately in need of this experience and didn’t even realize it. My friends— I can’t speak of her workshops highly enough.

Homa is wonderful at creating a sanctuary which allowed me to open up from the inside and paint what my heart told me to. Her guidance, patience and gentleness during the whole process was very relaxing. She allowed my painting to unfold, as I saw it, while offering much-needed reminders about who I saw Her to be in my minds eye. I highly recommend this class for anyone who needs a little reflection and focused time for themselves.

Having avoided painting faces forever, I was apprehensive when I learned that was our project. Over the two days with Homa’s excellent talent for instruction and her positive coaching I accomplished what I thought was impossible! Now my “Wisdom Woman” portrait shines in my studio. Homa’s spiritual approach helps you find your visual inspiration. It was a powerful two days!

Homa is such an angelic presence and amazing teacher!! I did not think I was at all able to paint until I worked with her in her most recent workshop painting angels. Thanks Homa for an amazing spiritual and creative experience!!

Spending a day to come in touch with my inner self, supported by a gentle, loving atmosphere that supports trusting your own intuition, and playing with paint was a gift. Homa works from her deep personal experience and creates a sanctuary of safety and fun. I suspect her workshops will soon be in such demand that it’ll be hard to get in!!

As a traditionally trained artist, I was never taught to “feel” my art. It was all about perception, proportions and perfection. Homa held a space of acceptance and instruction and made sure I had support to move forward. An extremely kind and gentle woman I’m glad to have met. And the bonus is I love my final piece! I highly recommend hanging out with Homa.
